Port Macquarie Benchtop Projects from Start to Finish.

A benchtop is the hardest working surface in your kitchen and the first thing anyone notices. At Keena Kitchens & Bathrooms we template, manufacture and install benchtops for Port Macquarie homes, whether you are building new, renovating the whole kitchen, or simply replacing a tired top on cabinetry that is still perfectly good.

Engineered Stone Benchtops Port Macquarie
Engineered stone is the most popular benchtop choice in Australian kitchens, and for good reason. It is hard wearing, resists staining, and needs very little looking after beyond everyday cleaning.

The colour and pattern range is enormous, from near white minimal looks through to dramatic veining that reads like natural marble. Because it is manufactured, the slab you approve is the slab you get, with no surprises in colour or movement.

We template your kitchen precisely, cut to suit, and handle the installation ourselves so joins land where they should and the finished edge is exactly what you signed off on.
Natural Stone Benchtops Port Macquarie
Granite and marble bring something engineered stone cannot copy, which is that no two slabs are the same. If you want a benchtop that is genuinely one of a kind, natural stone is the way to get it.

Granite is dense and very durable, which suits a busy family kitchen. Marble is softer and develops character over time, which some people love and others would rather avoid, so we will be honest with you about how it behaves before you commit.

We will walk you through slab selection so you are choosing the actual stone going into your kitchen rather than a sample chip.
Laminate Benchtops Port Macquarie
Laminate has come a very long way and deserves a fresh look if you last considered it years ago. Modern laminates copy stone and timber finishes convincingly, handle daily family use, and let you put your budget into other parts of the kitchen.

It is a sensible choice for laundries, rental properties, kids' bathrooms, and kitchens where you want a fresh look without the cost of stone.

We fabricate and install laminate tops to the same standard as everything else we make, with properly finished edges and joins rather than a rushed fit.
Timber Benchtops Port Macquarie
Timber softens a kitchen in a way hard surfaces cannot. It brings warmth and grain and it ages into something with real character rather than simply wearing out.

Timber suits island benches, breakfast bars and servery areas particularly well, and it pairs beautifully with a stone top on the main run if you want both.

We will talk you through the species options and the sealing and maintenance side honestly, so you know what you are taking on before you choose it.
Benchtop Replacement Port Macquarie
If your cabinetry is sound but the benchtop is chipped, stained or simply dated, replacing the top on its own transforms the room for a fraction of a full renovation.

We assess whether your existing carcasses are worth keeping, template over them, and swap the top with minimal disruption. In many kitchens this is a very short job with a very large visual payoff.

We will tell you straight if your cabinetry is not worth topping. There is no sense putting a quality benchtop onto carcasses that are about to fail.

Quality Brands Behind Our Designs.

Genuine Reviews from Our Valued Clients.

Our Streamlined Process for Your New Benchtop.

A simple three step approach to replacing or installing a benchtop in Port Macquarie, from first measure through to the final clean up.
1
Consultation & Measure
It starts with a conversation about how you use the kitchen and what is not working about the current top. We will show you the material options in our Port Macquarie showroom so you can see and feel the finishes at full size rather than guessing from a small sample. Once you have settled on a material we template the space precisely, allowing for walls that are never quite square, appliance cut outs, sink and cooktop positions, and the edge profile you have chosen. Getting the template right is what separates a benchtop that fits from one that needs adjusting on site.
2
Manufacture
Your benchtop is then cut and finished to the template. We work with trusted suppliers for stone fabrication and manufacture timber and laminate tops in our own Port Macquarie workshop. Cut outs, edge profiles and joins are all prepared before anything arrives at your house, which keeps the installation short and the mess to a minimum. Because the same team handles the measure and the manufacture, there is nobody to pass blame to if something is not right, and in practice that means it very rarely is not right.
3
Installation & Completion
On installation day we remove the old top, fit the new one, and seal and finish everything properly. Joins are placed where they are least visible, and the fit around walls, splashbacks and appliances is adjusted on site so it sits the way it should. We clean up after ourselves and walk through the finished job with you before we leave. If anything is not right you tell us then and we sort it, rather than you chasing us about it later.

Recently your company installed a new kitchen benchtop for us, we were impressed with your planning and efficiency. I would like to compliment you on your installer Phil. Phil arrived on time and worked very hard all day long. He had about 10 minutes for lunch. Very clean worker, very efficient, not a moment wasted. Polite well mannered obliging. He deserves a pat on the back.

I am writing to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for the work completed by the Keena team. From the measure and quote to the final installation of the dishwasher, every one of the staff have been exceptionally professional and caring in the work performed on my kitchen makeover. Keena also renovated a previous house for me in Sylvan Grove Port Macquarie and from that positive result I had no hesitation in going with Keena again this time.

Thank you so much for my new kitchen, which all happened so seamlessly – nothing was any trouble for you and it all happened when you see it would. I am very happy with the end result, your professional input, the attention to detail, friendliness and willingness to fit into my busy life. Not a stone left unturned.
  • John Mcdonald
Yesterday the granite transformation of our kitchen was completed and it looks great, so much cleaner and brighter than the old dark grey, graphite coloured benchtop. My main purpose of contacting you is to praise the personality, skill and workmanship of your man Phil Speechly during the process of preparing the templates and installing the new surface. His care and attention to detail was most impressive and his patience, when a couple of minor glitches arose, was comforting to see as a customer.
  • Jillian Millard
We wanted to send you all a very big thank you for a wonderful kitchen. We are extremely happy with the design, layout and colours. We also wanted to say a special thank you to Craig who was the extremely helpful through the whole exercise and never made us feel stupid for asking questions. He is an asset to your business. We would be more than happy to recommend Keena Kitchens to anyone.

I would like to thank Keena Kitchens for the wonderful job they have done to bring my vision for a new bathroom, toilet and laundry to life. From my first meeting with Chris Keena asking if he could help sort out repairs / total refit for this area (he was so calm and reassuring) to my first visit to your showroom where Ammanda welcomed me and made me feel so comfortable. She didn't rush when dealing with me and since then all her contacts over the phone or via email were friendly and professional.
  • Ray & Cathy Smith
Our thanks to you all for a job well done! The work was completed to a high standard, and the contractors were all courteous and helpful. The quality of workmanship and the clean-up afterwards were first-class.

We will continue to recommend you to others.

Common questions about benchtop materials, replacement and timelines, answered plainly.
In most cases yes, and it is one of the best value improvements you can make. We will assess your existing cabinetry first and tell you honestly whether it is sound enough to be worth topping.
The template and the installation are each usually a single visit, with manufacturing time in between. Most kitchens are without a benchtop for a very short window rather than weeks.
Engineered stone and granite are the most durable for everyday family use. Laminate and timber both perform well when they are chosen for the right space and looked after.
Yes. For natural stone in particular we encourage it, because the whole point of granite and marble is that every slab is different.
Yes. Cut outs for sinks, cooktops and any other fittings are prepared as part of manufacturing, based on the actual fixtures going into your kitchen. We coordinate with your plumber and electrician on timing so the trades line up and you are not left waiting on somebody else.
